Geography Map Library

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

The main function of the Geography Map Library is to support
the Geography Department's instructional program. However,
the library is available to all University faculty, students as
well as the general public.


  HOURS

Hours: Monday thru Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Closed Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays

Intersession and Summer hours will vary. It is always wise to call about the library's hours.

We are located on the west side of campus in Sierra Hall 171.

  ORGANIZATION OF THE COLLECTION

The Map Library holdings are classified and arranged according to the Library of Congress classification system.

All maps are housed in closed stacks. The library staff will be more than happy to assist in finding the right map for you.


 
  CIRCULATION  POLICY

The Map Library is a non-circulating library.


 
  PHOTOCOYPING  POLICY 

The Map Library does have a variety of scanners for oversized material. In some situations, items may be taken to photocopy on campus providing the person leaves some form of identification.
